Our weekly events could be categorized into three groups: presentations, workshops and social events.
Presentations
Most frequently, we organize presentations. They are designed to introduce to the attendees a technology or a concept which is not covered in the AUBG Computer Science curriculum. Presentations are usually held by guest lecturers with strong background in diverse fields and working experience in leading companies. Speakers can be also current or graduated members of the chapter who want to share their knowledge on a certain topic. Presentations are always followed by an informal dinner, where students can meet and talk to the speaker in a relaxed atmosphere.
Wokshops
Our team always tries to provide balance between the events that bring theoretical knowledge with those that develop practical skills. Workshops are events designed to introduce to the students a particular concept and build specific skills in the computer science field. Typically, workshops are lead by current members of CSSU or university alumni.
Social Events
Our social events comprise a diverse range of activities. We all like to sit down over a beer and talk about computer science in an informal environment. Such events gather not only members of CSSU, but also the university Computer Science Faculty. Walks, picnics and bowling tournaments an also be found among the CSSU social events.
